/ ABOUT THE PROJECT

Omasah Estate Radio is a music curator residency inspired by an ongoing attempt to build a living digital archive of all the music we love. Rooted in deep listening, research, and storytelling, the residency invites curators to collect, contextualise, and preserve sounds that shape personal and collective memory. Through curated playlists, written reflections, and audio experiments, residents contribute to an evolving archive that values emotion as much as documentation. The program celebrates music as cultural memory - fluid, intimate, and worth preserving; while creating space for new narratives, forgotten gems, and future listening practices. It is mainly centered around R&B/Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Reggae - both local and international. The series strives to create a listening experience that embodies tranquility, vibrancy, and euphoria for its commuinity of listerners. The series also functions as a program for music curators to improve their skills in song sequencing, playlist curation, artist research, and audio data collection. In essence, Omasah Estate Radio, is an audio universe that bridges the gap between listerners, curators, and artists - it is a capsule of sonic exuberance.
